I just love this quote by Marilyn Monroe – “๐‘ฐ ๐’‚๐’Ž ๐’๐’๐’• ๐’ƒ๐’†๐’‚๐’–๐’•๐’Š๐’‡๐’–๐’ ๐’๐’Š๐’Œ๐’† ๐’š๐’๐’–. ๐‘ฐ ๐’‚๐’Ž ๐’ƒ๐’†๐’‚๐’–๐’•๐’Š๐’‡๐’–๐’ ๐’๐’Š๐’Œ๐’† ๐‘ด๐‘ฌ”.

Our belief system of what we see as acceptable when it comes to beauty is influenced by a range of things: what we read in magazines, what we see on social media, the people we surround us with, how we have been brought up and the list goes on. If we buy into these “rules” made by society that you have to be a certain size, weight, or shape to meet the definition of beauty or perfection it can make us feel unworthy and leave us with little self-confidence. I used to diet myself into the ground to try and change my body shape as I bought into the “rules” made by society. This left me dull and without any energy.

Now let me tell you this:
๐Ÿ”ด Even at my lowest weight of 49 kg my body shape never changed.
๐Ÿ”ด When I was at my lowest weight I still thought that I am not beautiful and I have to do more to be accepted.

After I exchanged fad diets for healthy eating my skin started glowing and I have more energy.

Each morning I choose to embrace my curves – it is like any journey in life – one that continues. This is so powerful as it teaches me to see my own inside out beauty.

Remember: You are perfect just the way you are. โค๏ธ

I want to end off with the old cliche: “๐—•๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—น”. ๐Ÿฅ‚
